Two more.......

I tell ya, I'm really having fun with this upholstery fabric. Yep, that's what I said.....upholstery fabric.

This one isn't quite done yet. I haven't found the right button. The texture on this one is awesome. The blue is almost silky while the tan is kinda fuzzy. I think that's what I like most about the upholstery fabric.....the variety of textures.

Inside with pockets.

I really like this one. It very pretty and I finally figured out the pleat I wanted in the front. The lining is really pretty pink color that matches the flowers on the outside. Somehow I forgot to get a picture of the inside.

Alright, you all.....let me know what you think about these.....I value your opinions.

New bags

Well, the summer semester is over so I decided to get crackin' on some of these bags that I've been dying to make. This first one is a tote that was made for a friend. She wanted it for her nurse daughter to carry her laptop and paperwork to and from work.

It's double thickness for more protection.

Stacked pockets on the inside. One long pocket for paperwork and three short ones for pens and other necessities.

This is a shoulder/sling bag. I LOVE this fabric.

This is another shoulder/sling and is officially my new favorite.

I found this beautiful green fabric for the inside...cause you know green is my favorite color.
It has two pockets on the inside.

I embellished the outside with a few lining fabric yo-yo's and a pretty black button.
And like I said....it is MY new favorite.......hehehe!

At least two more coming in the next few days so stay tuned....ya'll are going to love them.

A little purple......

This one is definitely for the purple lover.

Butterfly embellishments on the front.

Purple and blue batik fabric for the inside and handles.

I've been experimenting again.........

...just call me the Mad Scientist! (Only I work with fabrics not chemicals.) Anyway I found this piece of faux crocodile leather yesterday and I thought.....well, you don't really care what I thought. Here's what I came up with.

I used a gold taffeta for the inside (w/ pockets) and the handles.

This is a bone accent pendent that I thought would give the purse a little more of a feminine touch.

Note: For future reference....when I say I'm experimenting....don't be scared.

I found this place mat that has little cut out shapes around the edges and thought it would make a cute purse.....and it did!
